StarDream Cruises Launches Bhajan Jamming Cruise: Singapore to Phuket Spiritual Journey

StarDream Cruises will launch a first-of-its-kind devotional music experience at sea, offering passengers a unique blend of spiritual immersion and cruise travel. The “Bhajan Jamming at Sea” event, hosted aboard the Genting Dream, will depart from Singapore for Phuket on two dates: May 26 and June 9, 2026.

The cruises, lasting three nights, are designed to be participatory, encouraging guests to sing along and engage with the devotional music, rather than simply observe a performance. StarDream Cruises aims to create a communal atmosphere centered around bhajans, kirtans, and other devotional songs, according to a press release. The initiative represents a growing trend toward experiential and spiritual tourism, merging the tranquility of sea travel with the power of music and devotion.

Pricing for the themed sailings begins at ₹38,999 per person. The Genting Dream will offer a range of onboard amenities alongside the devotional sessions, including diverse dining options and live entertainment. Passengers will also have the opportunity to explore Singapore and Phuket, known for their cultural landmarks and scenic beauty.

StarDream Cruises, operating under the umbrella name StarDream Cruises, encompasses the legacy of both Dream Cruises and Star Cruises. Dream Cruises focuses on larger, premium ships like the Genting Dream, while Star Cruises operates mid-sized vessels, the Star Voyager and Star Navigator, for shorter itineraries. The company relaunched these brands in 2025, according to information on the Singapore Star Cruise blog.

The Genting Dream, the ship hosting the Bhajan Jamming experience, regularly sails from Singapore on 2- to 5-night trips to destinations including Melaka, Penang, Port Klang, and Phuket. A special sailing to Bali is also scheduled for late 2025. The ship features a variety of cabins, restaurants, and entertainment options, according to the StarDream Cruises official website.

StarDream Cruises’ move to incorporate devotional experiences reflects a broader shift in the cruise industry toward catering to diverse interests and offering more than traditional sightseeing. The company’s website highlights its commitment to providing luxury, comfort, and cultural exploration across Asia. The line currently sails from Singapore, with additional itineraries planned from Hong Kong and Taiwan.

The names of the performing artists for the Bhajan Jamming sessions have not yet been released. StarDream Cruises has stated that it will draw from a pool of talented artists to enhance the spiritual ambiance of the event.
