Green Bay Packers tight end Tucker kraft sustained a left knee injury during practice on Thursday, teh team announced. The severity of the injury is currently undetermined, adn Kraft‘s status for sunday’s game against the Cleveland Browns remains uncertain.
The injury presents a significant challenge for the 2-0 Packers, who were already navigating the absence of starting receiver Jayden Reed, sidelined with a broken collarbone expected to keep him out up to eight weeks.kraft had emerged as a key offensive weapon, coming off a career performance in Week 2 against the Washington Commanders where he recorded six receptions for 124 yards and a touchdown. Through two games, Kraft leads Green Bay in catches (8), receiving yards (140), and receiving touchdowns (4).
With Kraft’s availability in question, the Packers are likely to increase the role of tight end Luke Musgrave, who has three receptions for 36 yards this season. John FitzPatrick, with one reception for 2 yards, is the only other tight end to record a catch for Green Bay. The team also has Ben Sims at the position.
Green Bay will face the Browns (0-2) in Cleveland on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET. The Packers added Micah Parsons to their roster during the preseason.
