Ohio Ag Weather and Forecast, September 22, 2025 – Ohio Ag Net
A series of weather systems are poised to deliver critically important rainfall to Ohio over the next several days, potentially totaling half to 2+ inches through early Friday morning. Following a recent frontal passage, another front is bringing moisture today, with a slow-moving low pressure system tracking through the Missouri and Ohio Valleys expected to enhance rainfall and thunderstorm chances Wednesday and Thursday.
While rain is anticipated today and tomorrow, it is not expected to be continuous. The heaviest rainfall is currently forecast for Wednesday and Thursday. Conditions will then transition to partly to mostly sunny and dry by the end of the week, continuing through the weekend and into Monday-Tuesday of next week. High evaporation rates are expected to quickly dry fields.
A weak front will move through Tuesday night into Wednesday, shifting wind direction and bringing slightly cooler air, but no precipitation. Canadian high pressure will then dominate the weather pattern for the remainder of next week, with temperatures remaining at or above normal through the first weekend of October. The dry conditions are expected to persist into the week of October 6th,with the next significant chance for substantial moisture not arriving until after October 8th.
