Matanzas defeated Industriales 9-3 Saturday at Victoria de Girón stadium,leveling their head-to-head record in the 64th National Baseball Series and solidifying their position in the standings. The win marks a rebound for Matanzas after dropping the first two games of the week against their rivals.
The victory is significant as it allows Matanzas to maintain a strong standing in the league, currently holding third place.A first-inning triple by Andrys Pérez, followed by a single from hanyelo Videt, ignited the scoring for the home team.Further offensive contributions came from Brayan Peña in the fourth and a sixth-inning surge featuring a double by Aníbal Medina and a home run by José amaury Noroña, chasing Industriales’ starter Remberto Barreto and reliever misael fonseca from the game.
