Professional basketball and handball competitions are scheduled across South Korea today, with the Suwon KT Sonic Boom hosting the Korea Gas Corporation at the Suwon KT Sonic Boom Arena. The basketball game is slated to begin at 7:00 p.m. Local time.
In addition to the basketball match, three handball H League games are also on the schedule. Samcheok City Hall will face off against Daegu City Hall at 4:00 p.m., followed by a contest between Gwangju Urban Construction Corp. And SK at 6:00 p.m. The evening will conclude with a handball match between Hanam City Hall and SK, beginning at 8:00 p.m. All handball games will be played at the Busan Gijang Sports Complex.
The Suwon KT Sonic Boom Arena, which officially became the arena’s name in 2021, previously operated as the Seosuwon Chilbo Gymnasium from 2016 to 2020. The arena has a seating capacity of 4,407. KT defeated Korea Gas Corporation in Daegu on October 14th, marking their first win after relocating to Suwon. The first event held at the arena under its new name was a basketball game against SK on October 23rd.
The Suwon KT Sonic Boom roster includes players such as JD Cagulangan (age 26), Isaiah Hicks (age 31), and Derrick Williams (age 34). Moon Kyung-eun, age 54, serves as the team’s coach, with Park Jong-Cheon, age 46, also on the coaching staff. The team plays its home games at the Suwon KT Sonicboom Arena in Suwon.
