Morgantown, W.Va. – West Virginia football begins its Big 12 Conference schedule tonight against Kansas, carrying meaningful momentum into the matchup. the Mountaineers boast a perfect 10-for-10 record in red zone scoring efficiency, ranking first nationally in that category, and head coach Rich Rodriguez is fourth among active Power Five coaches with 192 career wins.

* Series History: West Virginia holds an 11-4 overall record against Kansas, with seven of those victories occurring in Morgantown. The jayhawks’ last win in the series was a 55-42 decision in 2022 in Morgantown. West Virginia won in Lawrence in 2021, 2019, 2017 and 2015.
* Offensive Prowess: WVU has generated five scoring drives of ten plays or longer through three games this season, with three resulting in touchdowns.
