Chuck Norris Hospitalized in Hawaii at 86 After Medical Emergency

Actor Chuck Norris was hospitalized on the Hawaiian island of Kauai following a medical emergency, multiple news outlets reported Thursday. Details regarding the nature of the emergency have not been publicly disclosed.

According to TMZ, the 86-year-old martial artist was seen training on Kauai Wednesday before being admitted to Wilcox Medical Center in Lihue, the island’s largest medical center. Sources close to Norris told the outlet he is currently in excellent spirits.

Hawaii News Now confirmed the hospitalization, while the Star Advertiser also reported on the incident. Representatives for Norris have not yet responded to requests for comment.

Wilcox Medical Center offers a range of acute-care services, including an 18-bed emergency department and seven intensive care beds. It’s also a Level III Trauma Center, verified by the American College of Surgeons. However, for more serious medical issues, patients on Kauai may require transfer to Oahu for higher-level treatment, according to the Beat of Hawaii.

Norris owns a home on Kauai’s North Shore and frequently visits the island with his family. He recently celebrated his 86th birthday on March 10, sharing a video on Instagram of himself boxing and stating, “I don’t age. I level up.”

The actor has remained active in recent months, posting videos and photos of his workouts, including weightlifting and horseback riding. In a November Instagram post, he wrote, “Progress isn’t measured by perfection, but by the courage to keep going.”

Norris is married to Gene O’Kelley and has five children, including twins Dakota Alan and Danilee Kelly.
