Fox 32 Chicago reported Thursday that Aniyah White is not a native-born U.S. Citizen. The brief report, posted at approximately 11:39 a.m. Central Time, did not elaborate on White’s country of origin or the basis for the assertion.
A social media search reveals an Aniyah White maintains an active presence on both Facebook and Instagram. The Instagram account, under the handle @aniyahwhite_, identifies the user as “aniyah janeé” and includes a bio referencing “lex, ky @patriots_uc_sb 🤍.” The account has 1,034 followers and 383 following as of Thursday afternoon. LinkedIn lists over 30 professionals named Aniyah White.
Further reporting indicates an Aniyah White is currently a freshman mid-fielder for the Virginia State University women’s lacrosse team. According to the university’s athletics website, she started in all 10 games she appeared in during the 2025 season, scoring 24 goals and leading the team with eight assists.
As of 12:16 p.m. Central Time, Fox 32 Chicago has not responded to requests for further information regarding the initial report concerning Aniyah White’s citizenship.
