Club León Makes Offer for América’s Kevin Álvarez
Mexico City – Liga MX side Club León, managed by Nacho Ambriz, has submitted a formal bid for américa winger Kevin Álvarez, according to journalist Raúl Gómez. The offer is currently under consideration by the azulcrema board, who will ultimately decide the player’s future.
The potential move comes as Álvarez concluded the Apertura 2025 tournament with modest statistics – one goal and one assist in 1,161 minutes played across 12 starts. While he saw playing time due to an injury to teammate Dagoberto Espinoza, his overall performance has prompted América fans to express a desire for the club to pursue higher-profile reinforcements. Grupo Pachuca, the ownership group of both clubs, facilitated the offer from León.
Gómez reported via social media, “The proposal is on the table, these days a resolution is expected.” Álvarez averaged a goal every seven games during the Apertura 2025 season.
