Jodie Sweetin Offers Advice ⁢to ‘Dancing with the ⁣Stars‘ Newcomer Danielle Fishel

Ahead of the season‍ 34 premiere of⁤ Dancing ‌with the Stars, former contestant⁣ Jodie Sweetin is sharing a surprising ‍piece of‌ advice with newcomer Danielle Fishel: prepare for a mental shift beyond ‌just learning the⁣ choreography. Sweetin,‍ who competed on season 22 of⁢ the show, cautioned Fishel that ⁣the costumes⁢ can ‌unexpectedly impact performance confidence.

“It’s funny, when your in rehearsals, you’re ‍just in ‍gym clothes, all of the sudden [the costume] makes it ⁢a ⁣little bit different,” ⁢Sweetin revealed. This insight comes as⁢ Fishel prepares to ⁤navigate the demanding world of ballroom dancing, where both technical skill ⁤and presentation are crucial. The premiere of Dancing with the stars season 34⁤ is scheduled for Tuesday,September 16,on ABC.

Sweetin finished in 8th place during her 2016 run‍ on DWTS, partnered with professional dancer Keo Motsepe. She⁤ described their partnership as⁣ positive⁤ and supportive, noting Motsepe’s patience and ability to push her. “We got along so well and we had so much fun and I was actually really grateful to him as a teacher because he was patient but pushed me,” she said. “You⁤ definitely get to know and trust the‍ people that you’re out ther⁤ dancing with.”

Season 22 ⁢also ⁣featured Mischa Barton, Geraldo Rivera, ‌and Ginger Zee, with‍ Nyle DiMarco ultimately taking home⁢ the mirrorball trophy. Sweetin’s warning to Fishel highlights⁢ the frequently enough-overlooked psychological⁤ aspects of the⁤ competition, where even seemingly⁢ minor details like wardrobe can play a ⁢significant role in a contestant’s performance ‌and⁣ overall experience.
