Have you ever played FarmVille on Facebook? After 11 years, the popular game comes to an end.

No less than 11 years after Farmville was first played on Facebook, developer Zynga pulls the plug. The game can still be played until December 31, but from then on it is definitely over.
85 million monthly users
It was Zynga who offered the game on Facebook all these years and with success. FarmVille debuted in 2009 and at its peak, the game reached around 85 million monthly users, with a record daily user count of 34.5 million. However, around 2011 these numbers started to decline and the Facebook game seemed to have passed its peak. Now one too Adobe Flash Player is brought to an end and Facebook stops support, it is definitely over and out.
“We are aware that many of you have been working with us since the beginning to build an impressive global community that FarmVille loves as much as we do. We would like to thank you for that, ” Zynga wrote.
Party to close
Players can still make purchases in the game until November 17, but from then on you can only use your existing credits. It will be finalized on December 31, 2020, but Zynga has still planned some in-game activities before that.
Farmville 2: Tropic Escape, Farmville 2: Country Escape and the new FarmVille 3 coming soon for smartphones will still be playable as these games do not require a Flash Player.
