Zoom Adventure world in Gelsenkirchen

Although the zoos are allowed to open again, there is still a “Closed because of Corona” sign in front of the entrance for the Zoom Erlebniswelt in Gelsenkirchen. Due to the sheer size of the zoo, the organization in the background must be extremely complex – no wonder that the organizers need a little longer.

On Facebook Since May 4th, the following has been added:

Dear visitors and zoo fans! We expect to be able to open again this week. Final coordination with the city of Gelsenkirchen is ongoing. An exact day and the conditions under which we can open again have not yet been determined. As soon as we know exactly, we will inform you – also via our website. Until then, we ask for your understanding and patience.

There are three large themed worlds to discover in the Zoom Erlebniswelt: In Alaska A coastal rain forest, the tundra, mountain region and polar region await you. Special features include the underwater glass tunnel in the seal pool, the 3,000 square meter bear facility or the “Alaska Ice Adventure”, a simulated ride in an igloo on an ice floe.

Then it continues Africa (Savannah, rainforest and a boat trip) and Asia (Jungle feeling, orangutans and fruit bats). You need a good 6 to 7 hours to visit all subject areas – so plan some time.

Address: Zoom Adventure World, Bleckstrasse 64, 45889 Gelsenkirchen.
