The most useful player was the Canadian striker Brianne Jenner, who helped to win gold medals with nine goals from seven matches and became the best scorer. In the All Star team, she was joined by other Canadian offensives, Marie-Philip Poulin and Sarah Nurse. Nurse won productivity and set a new record with 18 points for five goals and 13 assists in seven games. She beat her compatriot Hayley Wickenheiser, who scored 17 points in five duels in 2006 for five hits and 12 passes in Turin.
