The day before, information spread on the network that Ukraine was supposedly expecting a massive missile attack, which provoked panic.

President Volodymyr Zelensky urged Ukrainians not to believe fakes and anonymous sources. He stressed that it is necessary to be careful and prudent in the information field. This was announced on Saturday, July 16, by the Ukrainian leader in his video message.

“How many people were scared today by a fake about a massive Russian missile attack on Ukraine? After everything that happened in the previous weeks. After the Dnieper, Vinnitsa, Chasovoy Yar … How many nerves are spoiled every day by the replication of horror stories from Russian propagandists and officials. How many problems are Ukrainians create for themselves, trusting any anonymous source.

This sometimes takes on simply unhealthy forms, when social networks and websites spread deliberate “stuffing” from Russia, the purpose of which is only one – to supplement rocket and artillery terror against our state with informational terror,” he said.

He noted that Ukrainians, among other things, “need also a kind of emotional sovereignty.”

“In order not to play along with the information game against Ukraine, in order to have the power to consciously perceive any information, any messages, no matter who they come from. And to see who needs them and why, and whether Ukraine needs them, whether they make the path easier for you and me to win,” he said.

“Sometimes informational weapons can do more than conventional weapons. It is obvious that Russia’s missiles and artillery will not be able to break our unity and lead us astray. And it should also be obvious that Ukrainian unity cannot be broken even by lies or intimidation, fakes or conspiracy theories,” the president added.

Earlier it was reported that Ukraine is negotiating with Western partners on deliveries of fighters F-15, F-16 or F-18 at all levels of government.
