The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky he claimed that the Ukrainian army is making a fairly fast and powerful movement in southern Ukraine as part of the current defensive operation: dozens of settlements were liberated in one week.
This was announced by the head of state in an evening video message.
“Today we have good news from the front line,” he said.
The president pointed out that the Ukrainian army is carrying out a rather fast and powerful movement in the south of Ukraine as part of the current defensive operation.
According to him, dozens of settlements have already been exempted from the Russian pseudo-referendum this week alone.
“This is together in the Kherson region, in the Kharkiv region, in the Lugansk region and in the Donetsk region,” said the head of state.
Zelensky recalled that in the Kherson region, the settlements of Lyubimovka, Khreschenivka, Zolotaya Balka, Belyaevka, Ukrainka, Bolshaya and Malaya Aleksandrovka and Davidov Brod were liberated and stabilized.
“And this is far from a complete list … Our soldiers don’t stop. And it’s only a matter of time before we drive the occupier out of our entire land,” he stressed.
Attempt to annexation of Ukrainian territories by Russia: what is known
As reported by UNIAN, the Russian invaders from 23 to 27 September held pseudo-referendums in the occupied parts of four regions of Ukraine. In Kherson and Zaporozhye – on secession from Ukraine and on joining Russia in Donetsk and Lugansk – on joining the Russian Federation.
Residents of the territories occupied by the Russian invaders did not want to take part in pseudo-referends, so their invaders were forced to vote under the threat of weapons. According to the results demonstrated by Russian propaganda, over 90% of the participants in the “referendum” voted in favor.
A number of countries, notably the EU and the US, have announced that they will not recognize the results of a false vote.
Despite this, Russian President Vladimir Putin on 30 September announced the annexation of parts of four regions of Ukraine and offered negotiations in Kiev.
