The new so-called “referendums” in the occupied territories will close for the Russian Federation the possibility of negotiations as with Ukraineas well as with the civilized world.
President Volodymyr Zelensky announced this in his address.
“There are more and more reports that the occupiers are preparing for a pseudo-referendum in the areas they occupy in the southern part of the country. I would like to say one very simple thing: anyone who in any way helps the occupiers to carry out this intention, will be held accountable. They will be held accountable to Ukraine,” Zelensky said.

According to him, the position of the Ukrainian state on this matter remains unchanged.
“We will not give up anything of ours, and if the occupiers agree to these pseudo-referendums, they will close for themselves any possibility of negotiations with Ukraine and the free world, from which the Russian side definitely will need it at some pointZelensky added.
We remind you that earlier the president stated that the Russian occupiers will not hold “referendums” in southern Ukraine because they will not control it.
According to some reports, Russian President Vladimir Putin is rushing to hold “referendums” before mid-September.
