Zelensky noted that in the east, the Ukrainian military “difficulty because of the lack of appropriate weapons.”

Ukraine will not rush to de-occupy territories if it requires tens of thousands of victims, but will wait for the necessary weapons. This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelensky briefing on the results of the meeting with the President of Slovakia Zuzana Chaputova.

“We are not tied to the date of de-occupation, we are tied to people. If one or another of our steps, our operations related to the de-occupation of a particular region, will be associated with tens of thousands of our people who died, then we will wait for the appropriate weapons to save on – to the maximum of our people… These territories without living Ukrainians are not a priority for us, to be honest,” he said.

According to Zelensky, it is “difficult for the Ukrainian military in the east due to the lack of appropriate weapons.”

“The situation is difficult in the east due to the fact that the largest number of equipment, military formations, battalions of both the Russian Federation and traitors, who are collaborators, separatists, representatives of the conditional “DPR” and “LPR” are concentrated there. They concentrated all their forces there in order to carry out this or that plan,” the president said.

He stressed that Ukraine will de-occupy the entire territory that belongs to it historically and according to all international laws.
