He noted that Ukraine, together with European partners, is preparing for EU membership.

“Please, don’t be late, please. During this month you have compared these worlds and seen who is worth what, and that Ukraine should be in the EU in the near future. At least you have everything for this. And we have a chance “, the president said.

After these words, Zelensky described relations with the EU countries:

Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Poland, Slovenia, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Croatia – “For us”.

France – “Emmanuel (Macron, President of France. – Ed.), I really believe that you will be for us.”

Germany – “I’ll tell you a little later. – Ed.)”; “I believe that at the decisive moment Germany will also be with us.”

Italy – Thank you for your support.

Finland – “I know that you are with us.”

Romania – “Knows what dignity is, which means that at the decisive moment, he will be for us.”

Greece – “I believe that with us.”

Portugal, Ireland – “Well, practically.”

Zelensky specifically focused on Hungary and turned to Orban. The President said that Hungary must decide who it stands for.

Zelensky also said he was on the Danube embankment in Budapest, where there is a memorial in the form of boots of victims killed by the Nazis during World War II.

“Listen, Viktor. Do you know what is happening in Mariupol? Please, if you can, go to your embankment. Look at those shoes. And you will see how massacres can be repeated in the modern world. And this is what Russia is doing today. The same shoes in Mariupol. There are the same people there. Adults and children, and grandparents. There are thousands of them. And these thousands are gone. And you hesitate whether to impose sanctions or not, let weapons (to Ukraine through Hungary, – ed.) or not, trade with Russia or not,” the President said.

Zelensky said that there is no time to hesitate – it’s time to decide.

“We need your support. We believe in your people. We believe in the EU. And we believe that Germany will also be with us at the decisive moment,” Zelensky concluded his speech.
