ZDF is planning around 30 series restarts in the coming season – Quotenmeter.de

ZDF program director Nadine Bilke promises a “particularly diverse program” on ZDF and ZDFneo. The first is the mini-series “Liberame” in the ZDFmediathek.

A genuine series offensive will start on ZDF as early as July 1st. ZDF, ZDFneo and the ZDFmediathek are involved in the upcoming “around 30 new series”. The miniseries is the beginning “Liberame”, which will premiere at the Munich Film Festival and will finally be available in the ZDFmediathek from July 30, 2022. According to ZDF program director Dr. Nadine Bilke, ZDF viewers can look forward to “a particularly diverse program”. “From the new evening series to the international high-end production, we look forward to around 30 new starts with fascinating, challenging stories from outstanding creative teams. It is particularly important to me that we were able to expand our genre portfolio with the new programme.”

In a current press release, the Mainz broadcaster gives an insight into the upcoming series launches. Coming from a co-production with the BBC «The tourist – duel in the outback», a mystery thriller starring Jamie Dornan. From Aufust 2022, the production will be available in the ZDFmediathek, together with «Decision Game». The six-part German thriller series will also be broadcast on ZDFneo in September 2022. “The Tourist” will be about a man who has lost his memory after a car accident in Australia and has to go in search of his identity. “Decision Game” deals with the risk manager Vera Schröder, played by Eva Meckbach, who has to “play” for her kidnapped daughter.

Arrived in autumn, ZDF throws itself into dramas with “interesting genre mixtures”. The also six-part series «Another Monday» lets her protagonists gradually learn that they are stuck in a 24-hour time warp and reveals conflicts and human abysses. The international co-production and the “coming-of-age drama” «Tell me everything» From November 2022, it will tell the story of a young man who tries not to draw attention to himself with his depression. But if it’s not completely new TV material, ZDF will provide new impetus in tried-and-tested formats. From September 2022 starts with “Murder Sisters” a new detective team on Friday evening. Lena Dörrie plays chief inspector Viktoria Lorentzen and forensic scientist Felicitas “Feli” Lorentzen is played by Carolin Hanke. The duo then takes over Friday prime time at the second.

In the winter of 2022/23, some things will change in the early evening program in Mainz. Soko Linz deals with a dedicated team of investigators for transnational criminal cases, the family series «Hotel Mondial» portrays four completely different women who are forced to work together.
