Like all educational establishments agricultural and horticultural high school of Saint-Germain-en-Laye ((Yvelines) had to adapt to ensure educational continuity to his 270 apprentices and the certain interns in professional training.
Technical mastery and know-how
The implementation of this plan was facilitated by the experience of the establishment as explained by Bruno Neveu, the director of CFA-CFPPAH.
We were able to be operational very quickly thanks to the technical mastery we already had because we were already providing two distance training courses before setting up the containment. So we quickly adapted all of these. All the necessary tools have been put in place: digital workspace, email, virtual classes but also a new educational platform. “
For students who could not connect, the school has also set up work materials sent via La Poste.
Forty teachers are mobilized
In total, around forty teachers are mobilized to ensure this educational continuity in nearly 17 training courses.
Concerning the apprenticeship of technical gestures, usually taught on the site, it is now carried out within the companies in which they are integrated.
Reopening: “We are working on 2 hypotheses”
For the reopening of the site, it is the date of May 11 which is current.
We are working on 2 hypotheses, one for May 11 and the other for a later reopening. We are going to work with all the directors on post-containment. We do and we will do everything to ensure the success of our young people. “
Regarding the organization of future exams, the establishment awaits directives from the Ministry of Agriculture on which it depends.
