The mayor of Saint-Germain-en-Laye (Yvelines), Arnaud Péricard, wants to be in the action after the announcement of this reconfinement.
After the announcement of reconfinement, by the President of the Republic, the mayor of Saint-Germain-en-Laye (Yvelines), Arnaud Pericard wants to be in action.
“Some will want to argue or criticize. It is not the moment. We are faced with a situation which is what it is today and we must face it and manage it. It is not time for speeches, but time for day-to-day management. We will have plenty of time afterwards to learn even more lessons and the reasons why we are in this situation. “
Faced with this new confinement, intended to contain the pandemic of Covid-19, the mayor has planned a support plan built around three main axes.
Help the most vulnerable
“This includes a local solidarity plan organized, among others, with neighborhood councils and volunteers, so that the most vulnerable can stay at home as much as possible. This means even more solidarity between the inhabitants for shopping, keeping company, etc. “
Support the local economy
The second part of this plan concerns support forlocal economy. In addition to the assistance already put in place last spring, the City will be proposing new initiatives.
“We are going to make economic support hotlines within a cell that will be open at the administrative center. It aims to identify the economic actors in fragility and to guide and support them in their dealings with aid structures. “
“Children’s” masks for primary schools
The last axis concerns the component sanitary. Besides the campaign of antigenic tests which should be launched from Monday, the City will also provide masks specific for schools elementary.
“We bought several thousand ‘children’s’ masks. From Monday morning we will provide it for CM1 and CM2. We plan to donate 3 masks per child, per day, until Christmas. “
