Peresild and Shipenko went into space on October 5… They arrived on the ISS and spent 12 days there… The crew went to the space station for the filming of the film Challenge. Now the actors returned safely to Earth.
And while Russia is happy to be the first country to send non-professional astronauts to the International Space Station, there are many outraged by the flight of Julia and Klim into space. There are several reasons for this, read on for more details.
Financial question
The exact amount that was spent on training the crew for the flight, the flight itself and the shooting in space, have not yet been disclosed. As the Russian media write, the creators refuse to announce the cost of the project, however, on the Web in some sources we are talking about two billion rubles.

It is known that the state support for the project is provided by the Cinema Fund. Channel One, Yellow, Black and White studio and Roskosmos act as partners.
Many Russians were outraged by the fact that money from the state budget was spent on the creation of the film, and at the same time – meeting the ambitions of the top officials of the state, and not for, for example, charity and other needs of the population.

Change of plans
Not everyone knew that for the flight of Peresild and Shipenko to the ISS, they had to completely change the plan of the station’s work: two cosmonauts remained on Earth, and two more who are currently working on the ISS could not fly home – their return was postponed. Thus they will spend six months more on the ISS scheduled time.

The actors flew on the ship, which was preparing for the flight of Babkin and other professional cosmonauts.

Previously, the media reported that The US also intends to make a film in outer space… To this end, the States began to make plans to send actor Tom Cruise into orbit on the Crew Dragon ship.
