YouTube deletes videos of the # allesaufdentisch campaign

It has been a week and a half since a number of more or less well-known artists published numerous videos under the hashtag #allesaufdentisch in which they criticized the corona measures and media coverage, among other things. Over 50 clips on topics such as “Collective Anxiety Disorder”, “Masks”, “Freedom of Expression”, “Purchased Research” put the initiative on its own Website as well as on YouTube.

As Bild.de reports, YouTube has now responded and deleted a few of the posts on the grounds that the videos “violate our guidelines on medical misinformation.” Problematic are “claims about vaccinations against COVID-19 that contradict the unanimous opinion of experts from local health authorities or the World Health Organization (WHO)”. Specifically, the videos taken offline are supposed to be clips that deal with the topics of incidence and anxiety and in which experts such as the neurobiologist Gerald Hüther have their say.

Volker Bruch, actor and one of the main initiators of the action, is now quite angry. “We try to get into conversation with people. That is democracy. Wiping out our voices is the sad opposite of that.” Joachim Steinhöfel, lawyer for #allesaufdentisch, even sees a “new dimension in breaking the law through YouTube” according to the picture report.
