Youtube apologizes and replaces a video of Bonig in Les Corts that it had withdrawn when it considered that it violated its rules

VALENCIA, 18 (EUROPA PRESS)

Youtube has apologized and has announced the replacement of a video of the president of the PPCV and trustee in Les Corts, Isabel Bonig, in which she criticized the management of the coronavirus pandemic in the Valencian Community, and which she had initially withdrawn considering that it violated the platform’s rules and constituted “medical disinformation.”

As reported by sources from the PPCV, the party submitted appeals to the platform in which it explained that this video contained an intervention in a parliamentary debate, which had been posted on an official and verified account and in a framework where the deputies have inviolability.

The platform, as explained from the game, left the video on ‘stand by’ and, once reviewed, confirmed that the content did not violate community rules, apologized for the delay and restored the video.

Bonig has used this Wednesday what happened with the withdrawal of the video to note in a tweet the “nonsense” that his intervention was “censored” when the message of the spokesman for Podemos in Congress, Pablo Echenique, in which he supported to those who demonstrated yesterday at Puerta del Sol for the imprisonment of Pablo Hasél.

Upon learning of the withdrawal of the video, the deputy and secretary of Organization of the PSPV, José Muñoz, has affirmed on his Twitter account that Bonig is “making history” by becoming the “first Valencian politician” to which YouTube censors for “medical misinformation”, to which the PP has asked for a rectification, exhibiting the response of the platform, and has urged him to do so because “rectifying is wise.”
