In Sweden, a young rapper was shot dead in the night from Thursday to Friday. This is reported by Swedish media.

The shooting took place in the Hammarby Sjöstad district, in the south of the capital Stockholm. The newspaper Expressen and the broadcaster SVT, among others, report that the nineteen-year-old musician Einár was hit by several bullets. He died on the spot.

Police would not confirm the victim’s name, but said a murder investigation has been launched. Witnesses are being questioned. So far, no suspects have been arrested.
Einár, whose real name is Nils Kurt Erik Einar Grönberg, was very popular in Sweden. Since his breakthrough in 2019 – with the song ‘Katten i trakten’ – he had also gained great fame outside the hip-hop scene. In that year he was the most streamed artist on Spotify in Sweden, ahead of the late Swedish DJ Avicii and international stars such as Ed Sheeran and Billie Eilish.
