Young People Are Now Vulnerable To Diabetes, What Causes It?

Exercise and a healthy diet are the keys to avoiding diabetes

Diabetes is classified as a progressive and chronic disease. In Indonesia, the prevalence of diabetes refers to Basic Health Research data for 2007, 2013 and 2018 showing a sharp increase, namely 5.7; 6,9 and 10,9 in people over 18 years.

This means that around 10-11 million Indonesians or 1 in 25 people live with the third killer disease after stroke and coronary heart disease. “This causes the problem of diabetes in Indonesia to become very large. From the aspect of cost, it has become a concern in addition to the health aspect,” said Prof. Suastika.
