The typical tremor caused by the nervousness of a wedding was not what shook Natalia Torres this morning, but it was a real earthquake of 5.9 magnitude that made her think about interrupting the ceremony she would hold only hours later.

“In my mind it happened on many occasions to suspend it and it was a very hard week, a week of much stress and much concern for everything that was happening”, said this young woman, 22 years old. “This morning at the hotel we all ran outside and it was very strong (the earth tremor)”, narrated.

Among the affection of her friends and family, as well as the attentions at the Hotel Meliá where she was staying, she managed to overcome the fear and doubts of whether she should continue forward with the wedding. He decided to persist and “thank God it has been possible”.
