WhatsApp is one of the most popular internet messaging apps on smartphones. The platform is available on a wide range of iPhones and Android smartphones that you can download and use for free. According to GizChinaWhatsApp will soon stop supporting theiPhone 5 and iPhone 5c, plus nearly 50 other devicesby 31 December.
In addition to these iPhone models, the list also includes Samsung’s Galaxy S3, HTC Desire 500, and more.
Please note that WhatsApp no longer available for devices with iOS 10 or iOS 11. This means that WhatsApp has already been discontinued on iPhone 5c and iPhone 5.
Apple launched iPhone 5 in 2012 with A6 chip and iOS 6. iPhone 5c was launched in 2013 with the same chip and both devices were updated to 2019 with iOS 10.3.4. If you have an iPhone 5s, you will still be able to use WhatsApp. However, make sure you update to the latest firmware to continue using the messaging platform. Whatsapp declared that it stops supporting older phones to improve the experience for modern smartphone users.
