Until now, such technology was available to customers in the Swedbank app: to connect to the mobile app and make a single payment of up to 100 euros.

In the future, also using Internet banking, customers will be able to choose authentication with biometrics: enter the Internet banking user number on the computer and then authenticate in the “Swedbank” application on their smartphone using the Face ID or Touch ID reading function.

With this new feature, you will not need to use additional tools such as Smart-ID or code calculator for everyday needs, such as logging in to your account or viewing your balance. Soon, users will also be able to confirm payments up to 100 euros ten times in a row via the Internet bank, using a biometric data sign-in.

The biometrics menu in the Internet bank will be introduced gradually during this day and will be available to all customers. To take advantage of this new feature, the customer must open the Swedbank mobile app on their phone and activate the option to sign in using the biometric data stored on the smart device in the settings.
