Apple started testing iOS 13.5.5 on June 1, but decided to rename it iOS 13.6 a week later. That already suggested that the update has some new features and nothing could be further from the truth. In addition, Apple has implemented a number of bug fixes with this update. Since the update has only just been released, we are not yet sure which problems and bugs have been corrected. As soon as we know more about the exact content of the update, we will update this article.

• A new setting has been added that allows you to choose whether to automatically download updates to your device if you are connected to a Wi-Fi network

• Fixed an issue where audio could be interrupted when making phone calls over Wi-Fi calling
• Fixed an issue where some iPhone 6S and iPhone SE devices were unable to register for Wi-Fi calling
• Addresses an issue in which the software keyboard appears unexpectedly when connecting to certain third-party hardware keyboards
• Fixed an issue where Japanese hardware keyboards could be incorrectly recognized as a US keyboard
• Fixed stability issues with access to the control panel when AssistiveTouch was enabled
• Administrators can now leverage a mechanism to specify domains to exclude from traffic handled over always-active VPN connections

Download iOS 13.6
To download iOS 13.6, do the following:

1. On your iPhone, go to Settings> General> Software update. Wait for the update to appear on the screen.
2. Tap on Download and install.
3. Wait for your device to restart and the installation to complete.

You can also perform the update via iTunes or the Finder. Close for that iPhone of iPad with a cable attached to you Mac or PC and open iTunes or the Finder macOS Catalina. Click on your connected device and choose Search for update. The update is then downloaded and then installed on your device.

Are you on the beta of iOS 14? Then you will not see an update. The only way to get the improvements is through you Downgrade iPhone.
