On Sunday morning, a mountaineer († 21) fell several hundred meters at Obergabelhorn VS (4063 meters above sea level). As the Valais cantonal police report, the alpinist intended to climb the mountain single-handedly through the north face.

On the occasion of a sightseeing flight, the crashed mountaineer was discovered by a helicopter pilot on the Obergabelhorn glacier. An Air-Zermatt rescue team immediately went out with an emergency doctor. However, the doctor could only determine the death of the young man. The victim is a German citizen. (bra)
