It is known that a part of the notebook of former Blue House economic chief Ahn Jong-beom was submitted as evidence in the divorce case trial between SK Group Chairman Choi Tae-won and Noh So-young, director of Art Center Navi.

Ahn Jong-beom’s notebook was a key document that triggered the impeachment of the president with a notebook that received instructions and comments from former President Park Geun-hye.

It is reported that in part of the notebook submitted to the divorce case of President Choi and Director Roh, the summary of the contents of a letter sent by President Roh to former President Park just before the special pardon on Liberation Day in 2015 was written by Chairman Choi, who was serving on charges of embezzlement. It was known as’You must not pardon Chairman Tae-won Choi’.

Although Chairman Choi’s affair and the birth of an extramarital child are known to be the direct cause of the divorce of the two, the contents of the handbook can be interpreted as being partially responsible for Director Roh. For this reason, observations have been raised that the two people’s property division trial could be affected.

At the end of December 2015, Chairman Choi acknowledged the existence of extramarital children and announced that he would divorce Director Roh due to differences in personality. Accordingly, Director Roh publicly announced that he would not divorce, and Chairman Choi filed for divorce mediation against Director Roh in July 2017. Both sides failed to mediate and eventually led to a trial.

Director Roh, who had been opposed to divorce, filed a lawsuit against the divorce last December, demanding that he pay 300 million won of alimony and 42.29% of the shares held by Chairman Choi’s SK Corporation. It is known that the amount charged exceeds 1 trillion.
