TURKISH LANGUAGE AND LITERATURE
In the 2020 AYT Turkish language and literature test, while there were three questions of comprehension and interpretation last year, this number increased to six this year. The 18 literature question consisted mainly of 9th, 10th and 11th grade acquisitions. From the 12th grade acquisition, only two questions were asked which questioned the ‘Garip’ understanding. In the exam, where poetry is predominant, there are questions in which multiple periods, artists and works are questioned through a single text. The absence of words in Turkish in poetry can challenge the student, but we can say that there is a medium difficulty exam that students with sufficient field knowledge can easily take.
MATH
Mathematics questions of 2020 AYT are moderately difficult and prepared in accordance with the gains. The fact that there are no ‘Limit – Derivative and Integral’ topics from the AYT curriculum specific to this year and more questions were asked than the years before the 9th, 10th grade achievements will increase the average of the exam. In addition, the fact that the number of questions that contain a few gains in the exam is also low will increase the rate of performing the questions. The exam included 26 math questions and 14 geometry (including four trigonometry) questions. A total of 40 questions were asked: 12 from the 9th grade achievements, 12 from the 10th grade achievements, 10 from the 11th grade achievements and six from the 12th grade achievements. In previous years, the intensity of the questions consisted of 11th and 12th grade subjects. In addition to the questions related to modeling and daily life, geometry questions are among the questions that question a few direct information. For this reason, it consists of questions of medium difficulty that students who can use and interpret the information can be successful.
PHYSICS
AYT physics questions were found to consist of questions related to the subject, such as those in TYT, that measure students’ dominance of subject acquisitions and require interpretation besides knowledge. From the medium difficulty questions as the difficulty level of the exam. The exam is similar to the AYT Physics exam held last year and the MEB retests. In the exam, questions were asked from 11th and 12th grade physics curriculum. Last year, there were six questions from 11th grade subjects and eight questions from 12th grade questions, whereas nine questions from 11th grade and fiveth grade subjects emerged due to 12th grade subjects not included in the exam this year. Due to the pandemic process and the subjects not included in the 12th grade, the difficulty level of the exam was not affected and was similar to the AYT Physics exams held in previous years. In the exam, there is only one mathematical operation question, and the other 13 questions are prepared on information and interpretation of the information. A new generation of storytelled question type was used in the questions. There are no questions in the exam outside the curriculum or outside the specified scope. MEB was an exam for students who mastered the subjects in their textbooks, fully assimilated the gains, understood the experiment, if any, and solved a sufficient number of questions.
CHEMISTRY
Four of the 13 ATY chemistry questions are for measuring 12th grade and nine for 11th grade chemistry achievements. The questions are in line with the MEB achievements. As stated by the MoNE in the distance education process, no question was included in the units included in the MEB curriculum, which was carried out in the second semester of the 12th grade. Compared to TYT chemistry questions, there are questions that students may have difficulty in solving, high discrimination, covering more than one acquisition and taking time to solve. The result of this was the high number of questions from 11th grade units, which included intense subjects of chemistry, and achievements that were difficult to understand by students. Visual / graphic question types were also included, students’ ability to read the given graphic, understand the visual and use the appropriate data in the process were also measured. Students who have mastered the achievements in the 11th grade curriculum, who have gained experience with many kinds of questions suitable for these achievements, and who can quickly decide which solution to use as soon as they read the question, will be able to reach high net in chemistry. In addition, easy questions at the level of knowledge / comprehension, which many students can easily solve, constitute about 40 percent of the exam. Looking at the general examination, the texts of the questions are short, clear and understandable. By looking at the reaction equation given in the question, students who compared the options among themselves were able to easily reach the correct answer to the question. In the question from the 12th grade ‘Introduction to Carbon Chemistry’ unit, there was not a very clear statement about the types of orbitals in the two options containing judgment about the overlap of the orbitals. Students may also experience conflict when solving this question.
BIOLOGY
In the biology test, six of the ‘Human Physiology’ unit subjects belonging to the 11th grade curriculum, and one of the ‘Community Ecology’ and ‘Population Ecology’ topics; In the 12th grade curriculum, three questions were asked about ‘From Geni Protein’, and one on ‘Cellular Respiration and Photosynthesis’. The questions were constructed in a very plain and understandable language suitable for the secondary education program acquisitions, and questions with visual content were preferred in a small number. Questions belonging to the 12th grade are limited to the topics of the first term. In addition to the basic knowledge and comprehension questions, it can be said that the test includes questions with discrimination that can be solved by students working regularly and assimilating the issues in full detail.
HISTORY
The distribution of questions in the 2020 AYT-1 history exam is in line with the 2019 AYT-1. Four questions from the 9th grade curriculum; One question from 10th and 11th grade curriculum; Four questions were asked from the 12th grade curriculum. While 10 questions in the exam consist of 7 questions at the level of comprehension, three questions require inference. The questions are clear and clear, but there is no question outside the scope of the curriculum.
AYT-2 is two of the 9th grade curriculum on history; Three of the 10th grade curriculum; Two of the 11th grade curriculum; Four questions were asked from the 12th grade curriculum. It is possible to say that the determining questions of the History AYT-2 exam will be 12th grade reform history. Of the 11 questions in the exam, seven are questions at the level of comprehension and practice, while four questions are questions that require inference. In general, when the history AYT questions are evaluated; The exam seems to consist of moderately difficult questions.
GEOGRAPHY
When geography lesson questions, Social Sciences-I and Social Sciences-II tests are evaluated together, it is seen that the 11th grade curriculum gains are higher than the 12th grade curriculum. This situation came to light as a result of the absence of these achievements / subjects in the exam in line with the announcement that the 12th grade, the second term achievements / subjects will not be included in the YKS with the transition to distance education. This development is also in favor of them by reducing the number of achievements / topics that students are responsible for. When evaluated on a unit basis, it is seen that the questions including the gains from the ‘Human Systems’ and ‘Global Environment’ units are proportionally more. As in previous years, maps were included in some of the questions, and the advantage of having map information in this sense attracted attention once again. Questions with tables and graphics were not included this year. It can be said that considering the fiction of the questions, the students are generally in the fiction they are accustomed to, there is no unexpected question style, and when the difficulty level is examined, there are clear and understandable questions that the students working regularly can easily solve.
PHILOSOPHY

In psychology questions, one question is social psychology, one question is the science of psychology, one question is out of the basic processes of psychology. Although psychology questions are shorter than 2019 AYT questions, they are composed of questions that measure students’ knowledge of the field (not including comments) as last year. In sociology questions, a question emerged from the ‘Social Change’ unit. However, two questions; it is not right to place it in a single unit because of combining general, current issues and concepts. Although sociology questions are not as long as 2019 AYT questions – except for one question (Social change) – are formed from paragraph (comment) questions. In logic questions, two questions came from ‘Introduction to Logic’ and one question from ‘Classic Logic’ units. As with the psychology questions, questions regarding the field knowledge were prepared.
