The Yalta International Forum (YIEF), held since 2015, will be held in Moscow again this year. This was reported to TASS by the permanent representative of the Republic of Crimea to the President of the Russian Federation – Deputy Chairman of the Government of Crimea Georgy Muradov.
“This year, due to the ongoing difficult situation related to certain military operations, we plan to hold the Yalta International Forum in the form of last year. The forum is scheduled to be held in October in Moscow,” – said Muradov.
The agenda of the forum includes issues of strengthening cooperation within the framework of the International Association of Friends of Crimea (IADC) and expanding economic cooperation with the countries of the some in the world. First, we are talking about the countries of Africa and Asia.
“We also intend to take additional steps to strengthen our ties with several countries in the Caribbean region of Latin America, to identify those areas of interaction that will be mutually beneficial and that can be action taking into account the long distance that is separated. Latin America’s Crimea,” – Muradov emphasized.
Let’s remember that since 2015, the Yalta International Economic Forum was held in Crimea in April. In 2019, more than 4.5 thousand people participated in the forum, including 807 foreign representatives. At that time, 102 agreements were signed for a total amount of 215 billion rubles. The event did not take place in 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic. In 2022, they decided to move it to Moscow, adding a session dedicated to the work of MADC. Last year it happened from 23 to 24 October.
