17.9.2024 – Johannes Prack and Herbert Orasche have founded the insurance agency Callidus. It specializes in boat and yacht insurance as well as charter and skipper insurance. The company operates in Austria, Germany, Slovenia and Croatia and advertises “simple online policy issuance”.
A new broker specializing in yacht insurance is launching: Callidus Insurance Brokerage GmbH based in the city of Salzburg, registered as an insurance agent.
Callidus offers in particular liability and hull insurance for sailing and motor boats of all sizes as well as charter and skipper insurance.
The target group is currently yacht owners from Austria, Germany, Slovenia and Croatia. The company is mainly targeting German-speaking owners, according to a company statement on Monday.

Behind Callidus are the two founders from Salzburg: Johannes Prack and Herbert Orasche.
Prack, born in 1988, studied industrial engineering and mechanical engineering.
Orasche, born in 1971, graduated from the HTL for mechanical engineering and then studied law. He has many years of experience in the insurance industry and is the managing director of g&o Brokernet GmbH.
Both have been sailors since their youth and have also competed in European and World Championships.
