Xzone announces financial results and a change in the structure of owners

This year, the company Xzone sro has its 20th anniversary of the operation of its online store www.xzone.cz gave a change in the structure of the partners.

Xzone sro focuses on the sale and distribution of games, game accessories and creative accessories for fans of games, TV series and movies, which are mainly in the form of T-shirts, figurines and other items. Until March 2021, the company was owned by five partners with the following business shares: 30% Martin Schovanec, 20% Jiří Pospíšil, 20% Jan Hanuš, 15% Bohuslav Schovanec and 15% Ladislav Hadač.

The latter two sold their share in the company to the remaining partners. The owners of Xzone sro are now only three with the following shares: 42.8% Martin Schovanec, 28.6% Jiří Pospíšil and 28.6% Jan Hanuš.

“My father and his long-term business partner, Mr. Hadač, are already of retirement age and did not want to continue to take an active part in the running of the company. They decided to use the achieved results in building a company in the form of money from sold business shares, which they can use in good health, “ says Martin Schovanec about the transaction and adds. “In addition, I see the repurchase of shares by the remaining partners as an important stabilization step from the perspective of the company’s future and a symbolic statement that despite the turbulent times in the gaming industry, we believe that we will continue to prosper in business at least as well as before.”

Xzone sro ended the financial year on March 31, 2021 and preliminary economic results show year-on-year growth (YoY) over 20% and turnover around 111 million crowns without VAT. The growth was helped by, among other things, the launch of a new generation of game consoles at the end of last year and strong game titles such as The Last of Us II or Cyberpunk 2077.
