Xpeng G3 – Here the Chinese cars are loaded before Norway

The quay was painted with greetings to Norway, while the very top manager was present to help when the first 100 Xpeng G3 Smart SUVs were sent to Norwegian car buyers.

– Today a new chapter is being written for both the development of the products and our company. We are very happy to see that the first shipment of the Norwegian version of our advanced electric car is finally on its way to Norway, says President Henry Xia of Xpeng Motors in a press release on Thursday.

The Xpeng G3 can be described as a mid-range SUV. The manufacturer views the electric cars Hyundai Kona electric and Kia e-Niro as main competitors, while they have also expressed a desire to steal customers from Tesla Model 3.

Tailored for Europe

Xpeng began developing its cars for the international market earlier this year and the launch of the G3 in Norway marks the start of the international venture. The cars must be tailored to the European market.

According to the president, Norway is a natural choice for Xpeng to start the European and international venture. Launching in what they call one of the world’s most advanced electric car markets is completely in line with their long-term strategy for international expansion.

– Norway’s advanced infrastructure and consumer awareness make this the ideal country to start the rollout of G3. We are confident that Xpeng’s innovative technology and our commitment to creating an even better customer experience will contribute to further development of the electric car market in Norway, says Xia confidently.

Smart car

Xpeng G3 Smart SUV markets itself as an advanced equipped electric car, with “impressive technologies”, including the operating system Xmart OS and Xpilot 2.5.

Xmart OS is Xpeng’s own operating system which is now available in English and which will update itself automatically. Xpilot 2.5 is a “very advanced driving assistant”, which will monitor the surroundings and assist the driver.

The operating system should be the core of the car and ensure a seamless and user-friendly driving experience. Xmart OS is automatically updated through OTA updates. The operating system has its own app store and offers, among other things, AI, voice control and smart navigation.

According to the importer, Xpilot 2.5 is one of the world’s most advanced driver assistants, which uses 20 sensors, including 12 ultrasonic radars, 3 millimeter wave radars and five HD cameras that continuously monitor the car’s surroundings and assist the driver.

The driver’s assistant must also be prepared for autonomous driving. By the end of June, the adaptive cruise control will have contributed to more than 25.1 million kilometers of assisted driving, it is reported.

The car will also be thoroughly tested and prepared for the Norwegian winter, while it achieved five out of five stars in Chinese NCAP’s crash tests (not Euro NCAP), the highest score for any electric car.
