Mi 11 Ultra is one of the most powerful phones from Xiaomi and one of its excellent features is the IP68 rating. To test the robustness of this feature, Xiaomi tried unboxing the Mi 11 Ultra under water.
In a video uploaded by Xiaomi on Weibo, you can see a diver taking the Mi 11 Ultra out of his sales box and activating it for the first time underwater.
Even though it looks like a gimmick, this video succeeds in demonstrating Xiaomi’s success in developing a cellphone with an IP68 rating that can still operate in extreme conditions, such as underwater.
Mi 11 Ultra and Mi 11 Pro are the first two phones from Xiaomi to have the IP68 standard. This certification allows the cellphone to be in a water depth of up to 1.5 meters for 30 minutes, as quoted from Gizmochina, Sunday (18/4/2021).
Owned water and dust resistant features Mi 11 Ultra is a combination of things like a Gorilla Glass coated front, a ceramic coated back, and an aluminum frame that can prevent water and dust from getting inside the device.
IP68 isn’t the only Mi 11 Ultra flagship feature. This cellphone released in China in March 2021 carries high-end specifications such as the Snapdragon 888 chipset, up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of internal memory.
The AMOLED screen measures 6.81 inches with a resolution of 1440p or Quad HD + and a refresh rate of 120Hz. The 5,000 mAh battery used is claimed to be fully recharged in 36 minutes.
Mi 11 Ultra Also equipped with a fierce camera, including a 50 MP main camera that uses a Samsung GN2 sensor measuring 1 / 1.12 inch. In addition there is a 48 MP periscope camera that can zoom 5x, and a 48 MP ultra wide camera.
One of the Mi 11 Ultra’s unique points is the second screen on the back that can be used as a mirror for selfies or displaying notifications. The 1.1-inch AMOLED screen was apparently taken from the Mi Band 5.
