According to many, Xiaomi’s strength lies mostly in its mid-range devices, and this may be true, because the manufacturer has expanded its already small arsenal within the segment with a new model. The device in question is called the Redmi Note 12T Pro, and its interesting feature is the Dimensity 8200 chipset inside and the 144 Hz screen.
The smartphone is a member of an already existing bloodline, a direct descendant of the Redmi Note 11T Pro presented last year. The device is equipped with a 6.51-inch IPS LCD display that offers Full HD+ resolution and a 144 Hz refresh rate.
Under the cover of the Redmi Note 12T Pro, the same MediaTek Dimensity 8200 chipset was installed, which is also responsible for driving the Xiaomi Civi 3. It is a particularly muscular, modern, upper-middle class processor, which is close to the new Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 in terms of performance, and is 30-50% more powerful than Snapdragon 7 Gen 1. The operative memory can be up to 12 GB, and the LPDDR5 RAM modules are accompanied by UFS 3.1 storage, up to 512 GB.
The back of the device houses a 64-megapixel primary camera, along with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle and a 2-megapixel macro module. The front camera peeks out from the cutout on the screen, and we will be able to take selfies with a 16-megapixel resolution.
Even a battery with a capacity of 5080 mAh was squeezed under the cover of the Redmi Note 12T Pro, the battery supports 67-watt fast charging.
The Redmi Note 12T Pro receives its owner with the Android 13 operating system after the first power-on, who can also take advantage of the extra options of the MIUI 14 interface. The smartphone will be available in black, white and blue shades. Details of availability and pricing have not yet been published, but the manufacturer’s staff promises to fill this gap soon.
