Xiaomi Launches Retro gaming Case with Pre-Installed Titles for 17 Pro/Pro Max
Berlin – Xiaomi is offering a nostalgic twist for its 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max smartphones with a new retro-style gaming case featuring pre-installed and licensed games. the case transforms the phone into a handheld console reminiscent of classic gaming devices.
The accessory comes with four games already installed: Angry Birds 2, Sky Destroyer, Furball Runner, and Snake.These games are ad-free and playable offline, ideal for travel or situations without internet access. The case connects to the Xiaomi smartphone via Bluetooth and includes a 200 mAh battery promising up to 40 days of standby time, rechargeable without removing the phone. Wireless charging is not supported while the case is attached.
Currently priced at approximately €36, the case’s utility beyond the included games remains to be seen, with questions arising about compatibility with other Bluetooth-enabled mobile games and its effectiveness as protective smartphone casing. Xiaomi has not confirmed broader game support beyond recognizing the case as a controller.
