A Century of Labor: Commemoration and Recognition
Beijing – In a grand ceremony held April 28 at the Great Hall of the People, China commemorated the 100th anniversary of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions (ACFTU) and recognized exemplary workers from across the nation. The event served as a platform to honor the contributions of the working class and to outline future strategies for the labor movement within the context of China’s ongoing progress.

Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, President of the People’s Republic of China, and Chairman of the Central Military Commission, delivered a keynote address. He extended sincere greetings to workers, farmers, intellectuals and other working people across the country, to trade union organizations at all levels and all trade union workers!

Leadership Attends, Honors Bestowed
The conference was presided over by Li Qiang, with key figures including Zhao Leji, Wang Huning, Ding Xuexiang, and Li Xi in attendance. cai Qi announced the commendation decision, formally recognizing the honorees.
A total of 1,670 individuals were awarded the title of National Model Worker, while 756 received the title of National Advanced Worker, underscoring the government’s commitment to acknowledging and celebrating the achievements of its workforce.
