BEIJING, KOMPAS.com – China will continue to support Russia in terms of sovereignty and security.
This was conveyed directly by the President of China Xi Jinping to the President of Russia Vladimir Putin by telephone on Wednesday (15/6/2022).
Middle Chinese, CCTVciting Xi as saying that China is willing to continue to support Russia on various issues.

“On core interests and major concerns such as sovereignty and security,” Xi was quoted as saying CCTV.
Reported AFPThe conversation was the second reported phone call between Xi and Putin since Russia launched its invasion of Ukraine on February 24.
So far, China has refused to condemn Russian invasion of Ukraine.

China has been accused of providing diplomatic cover to Russia for condemning Western sanctions and arms sales to Kyiv.
According to CCTVXi praised the good development momentum in bilateral relations between Russia and China since the beginning of the year in the face of global turmoil and change.
Xi added that Beijing is willing to intensify strategic coordination between the two countries.

He also expressed that China is ready to strengthen communication and coordination with Russia in international organizations.
“And push the international order and global governance towards a more just and reasonable development,” Xi said.
Previously, Xi met Putin in person on the eve of the Beijing Winter Olympics in February.
