FRANKFURT (Dow Jones) – The German stock market closed on Monday with gains. Wall Street’s positive guidelines supported this, supported, among other things, by strong markups in Boeing shares. More than a year after the worldwide flight ban for the Boeing 737 MAX passenger aircraft, the US air traffic control agency FAA appears to be about to approve a first test flight of the revised aircraft.
The approaching half-year end also had a supporting effect on the stock exchanges. Institutional investors are interested in high prices on this reporting date. The DAX gained 1.2 percent to 12,232 points.
Wirecard shares only for gamers
Wirecard jumped optically spectacular 154 percent up to 3.26 euros. The reason, however, is only cover purchases by the short sellers, it was said in the trade. The company had announced at the weekend that it wanted to continue doing business despite filing for bankruptcy. In addition, Worldline and private equity investors should be interested in parts of Wirecard. The stock remains highly speculative.
RWE only fell optically 2.4 percent due to their dividend payment of EUR 0.80. As a result, Siltronic, Software AG and Sartorius also closed in the red. The DAX was looking for cyclical stocks such as auto stocks. The Deutsche Bank paper went up 3.7 percent.
Thiele sees long renovation for Lufthansa
With premiums of 0.2 percent, Lufthansa lagged behind the DAX and the development in the travel sector. Major shareholder Heinz Hermann Thiele estimates that the restructuring of the airline will take five to six years.
ProSiebenSat1 won 3.8 percent to EUR 10.48. Here the Citi had significantly increased the target price to EUR 13.30 and sees the shares as “buy”. Ströer meanwhile lost 4 percent – an alleged downgrade by Goldman Sachs weighed on this.
In Xetra trading, around 121.3 (previous day: 112.0) million shares with a value of around 3.73 (previous day: 3.26) billion euros were traded in the DAX stocks. There were 22 course winners and 8 losers.
