On July 31, Jason Ronald told a Twitter user that Xbox One controllers will work on Xbox Series X, and that the new console’s controllers will work with various Xbox One models.
Following the clarifications made yesterday by Sony regarding the compatibility of accessories and PS4 controllers on PS5, Microsoft has decided to drive the point home by recalling that all Xbox One controllers will be recognized and usable on Xbox Series X for all games.

In case you missed it: Xbox Series X will be backwards compatible with all Xbox One controllers for ALL games.
- Official Xbox controllers
- Xbox Adaptative Controller
- Manettes Xbox Elite
- SCUF controllers
The information was therefore already known, but as Sony explained that the official PS4 controllers and designed by third-party manufacturers will only work with compatible PS4 games, Microsoft surely saw this as an opportunity to recall all of this.
