Xbox SDK includes references to second Xbox Series console – Gaming – News

(I hope I don’t make mistakes with references, the one who came up with these names must have been out of total confusion).

Where’s the confusion? You now have 4 generations of Xbox
Xbox
Xbox 360
Xbox One
Xbox Series

Within the last 2 generations you have a middle class and the top class. It is not that complicated.

That certainly has a value, because it is a lot more powerful, but the Series X does not have so many unique features besides that power, does it?

Well, the most unique of course remains that he plays Series X titles. After all, you didn’t play PS2 games on a PS1. Yes there are some titles that will also run on the One, but these are mainly first party games and in any case not games that use the new feature set, such as the SSD. You will also only encounter these games in the first year, maybe the 2nd year. The games that are really dedicated to the Series X are not going to run on the older Xbox One.

And then I wonder why you would buy a Series S instead of a One X, since GPU is less powerful, which in turn slightly counteracts that the CPU is stronger.

Same answer. I will not be able to play the latest games with an Xbox One X. I currently see buying an Xbox One X as a very stupid choice, considering the new one is almost there.

It’s a new generation, not a performance upgrade over the previous one like between the regular Xbox One and the Xbox One X.
