Xbox Handhelds Set to Launch, Pricing Revealed
Microsoft, in partnership with Asus, is preparing to enter the handheld gaming market. The company plans to release two Xbox handheld devices, the “Asus ROG Xbox Ally” and the “Asus ROG Xbox Ally X”, by the end of 2025, according to industry insiders. Release is expected in October.
Pricing and Models
The Asus ROG Xbox Ally is slated to cost €599, while the more powerful Asus ROG Xbox Ally X will be priced at €899. The difference in price between the two models is €300.
According to the source, the leak originates from industry insider Extas1s, who has a solid track record with Xbox announcements. Two European retailers reportedly confirmed these prices.
Device Specifications
Both handhelds will feature a 7-inch IPS display with 1080p resolution, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and VRR. The Ally will have an AMD Ryzen Z2A processor, 16 GB of RAM, and a 512 GB SSD. The Ally X will upgrade to an AMD Ryzen AI Z2A Extreme processor, 24 GB of RAM, and a 1 TB SSD. The Ally has a 60 Wh battery, while the Ally X has an 80 Wh battery.
A Windows 11 operating system optimized for handhelds is expected, providing direct access to the Xbox app. This will enable users to easily start their games and will include PC launchers like Battle.net.
Pre-Order Details
