Paul Heyman Responds to Braun Strowman’s “Oswald cobblepot” Jab
WWE Hall of Famer Paul Heyman fired back at Braun Strowman following a social media insult from the former WWE Champion. Strowman, whose real name is Adam Scherr, referred to Heyman as “Oswald Cobblepot“-the name of the batman villain The Penguin-in a post on X (formerly Twitter).
The exchange stems from comments Heyman made on The Pat McAfee Show after WrestleMania 41,where he recounted a story about Strowman allegedly approaching him in tears over not being included on the WrestleMania card. Heyman claimed he told Strowman he wasn’t on the show “as he sucks.” Strowman’s WWE contract expired in july, ending his second run with the company.
Heyman responded with a lengthy Instagram story addressed “Dear mr. Strowman,” stating he had “nothing negative to say” to Strowman and was “relieved and indeed celebratory to learn you’re still alive, something most of us didn’t realize and even fewer cared about.” he signed the message “With Love and Respect, Paul Heyman.”
The back-and-forth highlights the continued fallout from Heyman’s account of the post-WrestleMania interaction and underscores the fractured relationship between the two wrestling personalities. It remains to be seen if this exchange will lead to further public commentary or potentially influence Strowman’s future career path outside of WWE.
