Lilian Garcia Out of WWE Evolution Due to Respiratory Infection
Lilian Garcia, a prominent announcer for WWE, has announced she will be unable to fulfill her announcing duties for WWE saturday Nights Main Event and WWE Evolution this weekend due to lingering effects from a respiratory infection. Garcia shared the news via an Instagram post,expressing her disappointment but emphasizing the importance of listening to her body.
“Life can definitely throw some unexpected twists and turns and unfortunately I’m at the receiving end of one of them,” Garcia wrote.”I was so excited to be announcing @wwe Saturday Nights Main Event and @wwe Evolution this weekend but because of lingering effects of a respiratory infection I got some weeks ago, I was only able to announce SNME last night before my voice started wigging out.”
Garcia expressed gratitude to fellow announcer Alicia Taylor for stepping in to announce Evolution. She also shared a personal lesson learned from the experience: the importance of acknowledging disappointment while prioritizing self-care and healing.
“Biggest lesson I can share from this is that it’s ok to be disappointed (which I definitely am because I so badly wanted to announce these women to their respective matches) but also important to listen to your body and not push beyond its limits,” Garcia stated.”For now, time to stay quite and heal up for the next event!”
WWE evolution is scheduled to take place at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. The event will be broadcast live on Peacock in the U.S. and on Netflix internationally.
