Home Sweet Home. The Chinese clubs that had fled the coronavirus epidemic when the number of new cases exploded in the country are starting to leave Europe, where they had taken refuge. This is the case of the Wuhan club, which had gone to the south of
Spain, end of January.

The workforce left this weekend, after the disease spread to the peninsula, with 288 dead in Spain according to the latest report, causing the government to take drastic measures. The Wuhan Zall will now train in Shenzhen, in southwest China. Although the number of new cases of coronavirus discovered daily in China has dropped considerably, the city of Wuhan remains under quarantine.

Return made difficult by closing borders

“The situation has reversed,” Wuhan Zall striker Leo Baptistao said to Chinese media. “We are more in danger (in Spain). Now it seems better to leave, ”he added.

The return to China is however made difficult by the cut of numerous air links, as well as by the strict quarantine imposed on the passengers arriving in China from abroad. The Wuhan Zall was thus blocked in Frankfurt (Germany) on Sunday, say several Chinese media. The current whereabouts of the players is unknown, and it is not certain that the club has arrived in China.
