Peter Wright won his closing group duel on the opening night of the PDC Home Tour. Snakebite Niels Zonneveld defeated, but it was not enough for the group victory.
The Scottish world champion started the group with a 5-4 win over Peter Jacques, but then lost 5-1 to Jamie Lewis. The latter, like Wright and Jacques, had four points, but had the best leg balance. Zonneveld won no match and ended with zero points at the bottom of the group.
Every evening, four darters complete a pool, with each match played over best of 9 legs. The group phase lasts 32 days. Each group winner goes on to the second phase of the PDC Home Tour.
Players film their matches with a webcam or a camera, the images of which are transferred to a stream. In this way, opponents and fans can check whether the scores are passed on fairly.
